Gionee F5 is a midrange smartphone in the 'Fseries' of Gionee featuring 4GB RAM, 4,000mAh battery as highlight specifications.The phone has been launched in China and as usual, we are going to be reviewing the device, it's features, price and availability.The F5 sports a 5.3-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass screen.Something common in new Gionee phones this days. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC alongside with 4GB of RAM and Mali T860 GPU. The internal memory space is 32GB that can be expanded up to 128GB with external SD card.(although you have to forfeit using SIM as they share same slot) we call it hybrid SIM.Unlike most Gionee phones, the F5 weighs slightly lighter at 162g and its dimension is 150x74.5x7.7mm. The phone comes with fullsupport for 4G VoLTE as well as other connectivity options such as FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.In terms of camera, Gionee F5 has 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats. This is now a regular basic camera specs from the Chinese smartphone OEM lately. However, like I said earlier, this phone uses hybrid dual-SIM (Nano + Nano/ microSD) which is a turn off for me because am not willing to forfeit using SIM 2 just because i want to use an SD card. Anyway, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Amigo OS 3.2 out of thebox and has a fingerprint sensor as well just at the Home Button.
