This attack from an unknown specie of gigantic Octopus has been described as the source of
various reports of seamonsters like the lusca kraken, akkorokamui, as well as the unidentified carcasses known as the globsters, like the st Augustine monster in 1896 which was washed ashore in Florida, It was initially postulated to be agigantic octopus.
in 2007 a colossal squid was accidentally caught by fishermen in Ross Sea off Antarctica. it was about ten meters long, including its tentacles, and it weighed approximately 500 kilograms! Scientists believe that this specie of squid can grow even larger than it was.

another similar sea monster known as the giant squid has a torpedo-shaped body, eyes that can be as large as the human head, a parrot-like beak strong enough to cut a steel cable, it has eight arms with rows of suckers, and two long tentacles that she uses for feeding it can propelled itself through the waters at 30 kilometres an hour, amazing can even launch itself into the air! this sea creatures have been sighted fewer than 50 times in the past century, and have never been studied in the wild.
but as large as these gigantic Octopus, collosal and giant squids however are just a meal for an even larger aquatic animal.

Gigantic whaled of the sea: the sperm whale which can grow to about 20 metres in length and weighs 900 grams!
they are far more bigger than giant squids that the portions of them are found on dead sperm whales stomach. These whaled also had circular scars from squid suckers on their huge blunt heads, showing that the squid put up a hard fight.Huge indeed are the giant squid and the sperm whale, yet the blue whale the largest mammal, surpasses them in size. The longest blue whale on record was a 33-meter adult female caught in Antarctica. The blue whale may weigh as much as 150 tons. The weight of it's tonque alone is equal to that of an adult elephant! it gives birth to a three-ton calf that is seven to eight meters long! hunted by whalers, the blue whale became nearly extinct by the 1960's and today is classified as a critically endangered species.

Marooned in small, open boats the 20 men stood, powerless, as the creature struck their vessel at full speed.Wood splintered, the whole structure of the ship shook. Then, after swimming off to leeward, the whale gathered its strength and camethundering towards the Essex again, even faster than before. As the crew floundered in the middle of the Pacific they knew their lives were in danger. None, though, was prepared for the appalling choices they were going to have to make in the days and weeks that followed.
