Before we Begin to state the reasons why you should not purchase a refurbished phone, let's know what a refurbished handset is, according to Wikipedia refurbishment means " the distribution of products usually electronics and electricals that have been previously returned to a manufacturer or vendor for various reasons. Refurbished products are normally tested for functionality and defects before they are sold. It is repaired from manufacturer and resold. Well according to the definition of what refurbishment is, you will notice that it sounds good for products of a manufacture be recycled, fixed then resell, but unfortunately the definition above included all gadgets which is electronic and electricals, you are reading this because you want to know what a refurbished phone is and why you should not purchase them, in this case we perform an elimination method by excluding all other electronics and electricals, except Mobile phone, it is true that refurbished phones are tested phones, if damaged, a manufacturing company will render some professional services to make it look as if it was a brand new phone, nevertheless, below are solid reasons why you should run away from refurbished phones.

Original system firmware disguised for another:
Imagine yourself buy a Samsung Galaxy phone  (refurbished) and you are still wondering if it is Samsung Galaxy you are really using, this is because the company that refurbished the phone had almost changed the whole phones component, the newly installed programs on the refurbished phone will be annoying to the liken of the user, for the user he or she will experience a poor phone features, you will not want to use a fake phone right, yeah, the right name for refurbished mobile phones should be counterfeit handset, in the united states and other countries like France and China, if they get tired of using a phone they recycle them to the manufacturer's from there instead of the engineers, to repair damages and fix the phone, they go on to flash completely the original factory rom, I have no idea of which program they use to do this, afterward they install and configure the smartphone in such a way that it is better to be without a refurbished and face no troubles, than to be with refurbished and welcome troubles, and bugs,

Brand name, model copied:
Refurbished smartphone can be branded with any name, therefore you can see a popular brand name on the phone front or cover nevertheless it was forged to attract buyers, you can even switch on the phone, and see a popular phone logo like Samsung, Sony, Motorola, etc but yet its not really developed by the famous brand, rather the guruz had tweaked off their best on the poor phone.

Fake battery:
I have seen, and heard people discussing about phones ability, but never had of anyone who is in love with a fake battery, if your phones battery can't maintain power for a reasonable amount of time you will likely be thinking of replacing the batteries or selling out the phone, a fake battery limits your communication and reach to family and friends, it can't serve you, if you are thinking of taking some cameras on holidays, be ready to get disappointed by a poor battery life, when fake battery is been discussed we don't mean that the battery could last for two hours, it can drop down from 100% to 30% just for enabling your data connection between ten minutes of network connection,

false specifications and feature:
This is very annoying, if you should walk in to a bike shop, and ask the seller if the bikes tyre can ride on dirt road, and the seller replies positive, moreover it can't, you should feel sad had it been you purchased the bike, that is same to refurbished, there was a time my big bro mistakenly purchased lenovo a368t 4G LTE enabled (refurbished), the smartphone was just as if you were you using an old Nokia phone, it does not support 4GLte network, not even 3G but just 2G, the ram was 512mb unlike the original, generally the specs feature are almost different from the original. So it's not a good idea dishing out your money for refurbished.

Weak phone power:
Well, the power am referring to here is not the battery power supply, but instead the phones hardware, software processor, refurbished phones hardware or software sometimes get corrupted, you might be wondering what little mistake you've done that lead to your phone failing, the Central processing unit CPU of refurbished phones are too low to handle powerful tasks, they do not posses higher ram, that means when you install at least three powerful apps, be ready to face, occasional hanging. you will not want to be a victim of a weak device.

Conclusion:
As you can see, the above listed pros, of using a refurbished smartphone ain't manageable in any way, the question is how do I know a refurbished phone
Answer: a refurbished phone is sold in individual mobile stores, they do not come with the packs, you are not to expect any additional accessories like the charger when you buy them, the best way to find out a refurbished smartphone is when you look at the phones battery house you'll see that it is a returned and remanufactured smartphone, they come with second hand battery. If you still so not know if it is a refurbished smartphone switch the phone on, then check if there is any Chinese app installed on it, if yes, then disregard it.
